A2.125 : How to restore Frontend database on existing PC with POS

Question :

One of my cashier need to send for repair. How can I temporarily move all data to a backup PC?


Solution :

First of all, you need to have the latest backup file of existing company.

Then go to the target machine (which POS/F&B software is installed).


For POS 5.0:

Windows Start > AutoCount POS 5.0 > AutoCount POS 5.0 Database Configuration

For F&B 5.0:

Windows Start > AutoCount FnB 5.0 > AutoCount FnB 5.0 Database Configuration

click Tools > Reset Configuration

Key in Password (if you don’t know the password, contact system provider) > OK

Click OK

Click Next

Select Attach existing database in this PC > Next

Click Restore

Click Next

Click Browse > select your backup file xxx.A06 > Open > Finish

Keyin Server Name column .\A2006 > Get Avaliable Databases

Select Database Name > OK

Select Terminal > Next

Click the Finish

Click OK, this message says after doing restore you need to perform sync configuration.

Done restore

If you need to sync data with server database, then you will need to do sync configuration.


For POS 3.1:

Windows Start > AutoCount POS > AutoCount POS 5.0 Database

Select Join to AutoCount Accounting account book as listed in this PC > Next

Select your Database > Terminal > Next
